What’s More Important, Watching North Korea or China?

The United States letting it be known not just to North Korea or China that they have sent our best stealth fighter to join with South Korea in the air. Kim Jon-Un is a dangerous little man. The United States isn’t there just to make a show of force, but its ability to respond to dangerous situations. How about China President Xi of China is a dangerous man also. That leaves me to wonder if the Biden Administration is showing Xi how fast we can respond even to a threat from China.

The U.S. and its Asian allies flew dozens of fighter planes above waters surrounding the Korean Peninsula Tuesday in a show of force as their diplomats discussed a coordinated response to an alleged impending North Korean nuclear test. The Associated Press reported in early June that the U.S. and its allies flew dozens of jets over the Korean Peninsula in exercises meant to counter a North Korean provocation.

U.S. Air Force F-35A stealth fighters arrived in South Korea on Tuesday, July 5, on their first publicly announced visit since 2017 as the allies and nuclear-armed North Korean engage in an escalating cycle of displays of weapons.

Joint military drills had been publicly scaled back in recent years, first in 2018 because of efforts to engage diplomatically with North Korea and later because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

South Korean President Yoon Suk-Yeol, who took office in May, has sought to increase public displays of allied military power, including exercises, to counter a record number of missile tests conducted by North Korea this year.    “rappler.com

North Korea is steadily trying to develop a ballistic missile that can reach our mainland. That’s how it is with each new family member to try and outdo the last Dictator. Kim Jon-Un wants to try and outdo his father’s reign. He doesn’t seem to either realize or care that he puts a target on North Korea (Himself) if they try and threaten the United States with nuclear. We have the capability to fly in and take out his defenses and once that is done, so is he.

Tuesday’s deployment is the first time in five years the U.S. has publicly deployed stealth warplanes to South Korea. Washington last publicly disclosed sending stealth fighters in December 2017, when it sent F-22 stealth fighters and F-35 aircraft to participate in a joint aerial drill.

The drills also come amid escalated tension with North Korea, which appears to be ramping up its missile tests. In early June, the U.S. and its allies flew dozens of jets over the Korean Peninsula in exercises aimed at responding to provocations from Pyongyang, The Associated Press reported at the time.

South Korean President Yoon Suk-Yeol welcomed President Biden to Seoul in mid-May, during which the two expressed an interest in expanding combined military drills around the Korean Peninsula.

“Both leaders agree to initiate discussions to expand the scope and scale of combined military exercises and training on and around the Korean Peninsula,” the leaders said in a joint statement on May 21.     “msn.com

Should we also be keeping an I on China, absolutely? This exercise that the United States is conducting with South Korea can also be used as a type of deterrent to China to leave Taiwan alone. With the war raging on in Ukraine, China has to be watched very closely. China is known for taking action and acting quickly when they want something, and the something is Taiwan.

God Bless the United States, God Bless the Veterans
